Last night I was asked to go to a small gathering in the town hall hosted by the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen .
The amazing Andrew told me to bring some of my memory boxes so I can show people one of the things Maggie’s Stillbirth Legacy does.
I was actually asked to come down to the front to speak to all the Mayors, Mayoresses, consorts & Mr mayors family about Maggie’s legacy

They were from all over including… Blackpool, rosendale & the ribble valley.
I was not prepared for this at all

It was hard to do and I almost cried but I didn’t!
I held it together & talked about cuddle cots, cuddle blankets, memory boxes & our support groups.
I loved that people shared their stories of baby or child loss with me afterwards, they looked through our memory boxes & asked questions.
I love that all the people last night now know about our beautiful baby girl & her legacy & hopefully they will tell others her name & that support is out there should they need it.
The mayor of Blackburn with Darwen will be changing soon (there is a new mayor every year), & I will really miss Brian & his amazing daughters.
They have become my friends & im so honoured to of been asked there last night.
Thank you Mr Mayor for supporting Maggie’s stillbirth legacy.
For being interested & invested in what we do.
And for becoming a friend xx
